Our Story

A home where Bali feels true.

Palm. Breeze. Wide.

A house, imagined from a place we fell in love with.

Villa Palem was born from our first encounter with this land — a place where coconut palms stretched endlessly, and time seemed to move differently.

We chose Selabih Village for its quiet authenticity, away from the island’s busier rhythms, drawn by its raw beauty, its people, and its sense of balance.

As travelers, we wanted to create more than a place to stay — a house that feels natural, welcoming, and deeply connected to its surroundings. “Palem”, meaning palm tree in Indonesian, is a tribute to that first impression — and to the simplicity and elegance we wanted to preserve.

The people behind the experience

From our private chef to housekeeping, service, gardeners and security — a dedicated team ensuring every detail is taken care of, with warmth and genuine Balinese hospitality.

"Welcome to Villa Palem, your sanctuary in Bali. Our purpose is simple: to make you feel completely at home. While we take care of the details, you simply enjoy the calm. Relax, explore, and let the spirit of the island move you."

Flavours To Share

At Villa Palem, the table is a place to gather and discover. Our sharing menu is designed to bring people together — offering a taste of Indonesia’s rich flavours, the freshness of land and sea just around the villa, and a selection of comforting Western favourites.

Everything is homemade, from breakfast brioche to pesto pasta, with the same care in every detail.
Vegetarian and vegan options are always available, so everyone can enjoy the pleasure of sharing simply, generously, naturally.

Away from the usual paths — by choice.
Villa Palem is set beyond Bali’s classic tourist routes, and this is exactly what we were looking for.
Here, you discover the Bali we love — authentic, generous and deeply connected to nature — while still enjoying a wide range of experiences just around the villa.
A place where distance becomes a luxury, and every moment feels closer to what truly matters.
